Samsung is continuing to push the envelope when it comes to creating new
displays that are unbelievably thin. It’s latest is a 40-inch LED
backlit LCD TV that is just 3mm thick.
As you can see from the image below, that’s thinner than a pencil:
The display currently has no official model name, but is being
referred to as “Needle Slim”, which surely limits what Samsung can name
any future display it creates that is as thin as a needle.
Other features of note on the new TV include a 120Hz panel and 5000:1
contrast ratio. No details on pricing or a release date have been
revealed yet, but expect it to be available soon for a very high price.
