Patna: ICICI Prudential Life Insurance announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Indian Postal Department to provide its products through all the 9,800 post offices in Bihar.

"We have partnered with the Postal Department to strengthen our footprint in Bihar and provide customers with one stop solution for all their long term saving needs," said Anup Rau, Senior Vice President, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance. He said the consumers can now buy ICICI Prudential Life's products from any one of 9,800 post offices in the state, while existing policyholders can pay their premiums at any of the 148 e-payment enabled post offices, reports PTI. "Through the extensive network of the Postal Department, we will have the opportunity to offer our products spanning life, wealth creation, children's education, pensions, protection and health," Rau added.

Kamleshwar Prasad, Chief Postmaster General, Bihar Circle, said that the large network of post offices would help the insurance firm to penetrate further in areas where the need for life insurance schemes was growing.
